Is there a program to control when your battery charges?
Sometimes it charges when I dont want it to, like when I'm at my house. Only way to keep it from charging is to take it out but I run the risk of this finicky cable coming out and the pc shutting off.
I only want to charge my laptop battery when I'm at school or somewhere other than in my home.

Why?
Laptops are designed to recharge the battery whenever they are connected to mains, so you always have a full charge when you leave home. There is absolutely no sensible reason you wouldn't want the battery to recharge, so that function is built into the machines hardware (Not software controlled)
