I have a silver chain that is labeled 14kGP, so what does this mean? If it says GP, why is the color silver? Thanks

    The chain is plated with 14 karat white gold.

    It means that it is gold plated. So a thin layer of gold is over the sterling silver. It is worth the same amount as sterling silver.
