why do i have so many partitions on my drive? how can i know which files are on the partition to delete?

It's normal for Windows to have 3-4 system partitions. Just Google the partitions and see what they are for.
There's usually one for booting, one for backup, one that has the system information for when you do a factory reset, things like that. It's usually not a good idea to delete those or you'll break your computer.
If the partition has a drive letter, that means you can store files on it (Like the C drive).
