Would be possible again for the UK (or even US or anyone else) to just dump its prisoners off on a barren island like we did with Australia?
Like, I had an idea, if I were the leader of a nation in Europe. I'd just kick all our hardened criminals out. Send em to Africa or something.

the UK needs about another 350000 prison places to cope with the explosion in crime that the police will not deal with, a couple of island prisons would be a start, currently if you report a crime to the police it goes like this , report a stolen phone it gets recorded as lost = no crime, report a burglary it gets recorded as vandalism , record an assault and it gets recorded as an accident, pickpocket = lost item , mugging = accident etc etc
