Christmas time of the year. Mom passes. Advice for son to survive the holiday cheer.?

Very sorry for your loss. For me it is grandparents who have died. At Christmas I talk about them and find old pictures to share. This way I am remembering them. It is hard though especially at the holidays as they were a big part of my Christmas. This helps bring some comfort though. Also maybe try to connect with her family. For my Mom I remember she connected with her grandmother's siblings after she died as a way of filling the void. My Mom has a cousin whose father died so he visits his aunt (my grandmother) at the holidays to fill the void.
