Which one had a higher chance of Survival?

So if you got an infantrymen fighting in World War 1 and compared them to Infantrymen fighting in World War 2, which one would be more likely to survive the conflict they were fighting?

Update:

Say its an American or British soldier for the sake of time.

    Which army? In WW II Americans only fought from June 1917 to Nov 1918. In WW II it was Jan 42 to Aug 45. All the other allies fought a lot longer.

    better medical care and no gas

    or head long charges into machine guns

    that depends on the region in which they were fighting different places had different percentages of casualties.
