My husband started liking someone else and I let go - dream interpretation?

I and one of my new friend after having an outing in the evening met with an accident we were in hospital side by side. Both felt alright by morning and were discharged from the hospital. I was very caring about her. My husband came to pick us up. My husband started conversation with her, where he accused her of being around for eight years and not telling him about it. It was emotional. no one said I love you but the conversation and the emotions that were there meant that. I asked my husband to stop the care (without getting angry but felt hurt) at the same time he too asked me if he should stop the car for a moment (we did that simultaneously. He gave me a teary eyed look which meant thanks for understanding. I intended to get out of the car and let them have their conversation. I just stroked his cheek and responded with a teary eye and stepped out of the car and walked away - in the car they both just huddled with their heads together crying. After some period of time (maybe few months) I was travelling around the different places (tourism) with a mindset of not getting together with anyone else.. but at one point I just turn around and just ask one of my friend should we take up security together? (Which could me - I indirectly asked him to marry me) and I walked away. He was surprised and yet just smiled (being happy that I finally wanted to settle with him).

This was a dream - what does it mean?

I know this man for 4 and half years... married for 4 years.
