I'm working on a theory that Satan and not God created the world. Can you comment/question this so I can better improve my theory?

As long as you're re-inventing Gnosticism, why not just study the original Gnostics?

The essential point of Gnosticism was the notion that the material universe is inherently evil. That's what made the Christian branch of Gnosticism--there were also pagan and Jewish branches--a heresy, because the Bible regards material creation as good (until perverted by people who screw it up). Much of the Gnostic literature was devoted to a mythology in which creation is the work of a rebellious, inferior spirit rather than of God.

You can find most of what is known of Gnostic writings, translated into English, in "The Nag Hammadi Library." Many of these works were lost for centuries, until a cache of copies (written in Coptic Egyptian) came to light a few decades ago.

Just to mix it up, why not add to your theory that God and Satan are both the ultimate manifestations of human emotion to do good and evil, given form and life by the centuries of human experience? With so many lives having no natural outlet through which to exercise and release these emotional reserves, they build up and finally burst like a crumbling dam, giving rise to a God and angels representing good, and Satan and demons representing evil.

Ironically, God and Satan, given the power to rule over man by man himself, shall themselves die when the last man alive finally perishes.

You may as well look into gnosticism, which exists as a Christian sect and did exist as a Jewish sect as well, although I don't know that there are still Jewish gnostics. The Cathars were gnostics.

You need to define your terms.

In mainstream Christian folk theology, Satan is a god of evil in perpetual conflict with the god of good.

But, in the original Hebrew, "satan" just means "adversary" - it refers to any adversary of anyone - and does not refer to any specific individual supernatural entity.

In the Hebrew theology there is one universal creator and maintainer of existence with no adversaries.

But really - as a bottom line -

the use of the term "satan" precludes your entity from being the primary God.

It is a term that is defined by otherness, separation - "the adversary" is implicitly a secondary character - he is adversary to the primary character.

Linguistically -

You're best off using the word Devil if you are largely referring to the Christian image of the world.

But honestly --

Satanism has always come off as a "fanboy" "filk" religion that is just built to annoy Christians.

First prove either exists.
