How long does the lease process take?

If you have excellent credit and can prove you have a good full-time job, you can get it done in a few hours. But if there's any doubt about your qualifications, it could take a few days to get approved. The dealer may let you take the car home the same day, but if your qualifications fail with the finance company, you'll have return the car. I would suggest that if you know you have questionable credit or income, don't take the car home the same day. Leave it with the dealer until he tells you that you have been approved by his finance company.

You credit score, employment history and income will first need to be verified. That process could take anywhere from 1 to 3 days.

There are lots of variables. If your credit is good and you could purchase in a day or less, you will lease in the same time frame. If you've got crap credit, and a shitty job it will take longer.
