Why does bbq sauce sink?
At the pub last night the sachets of sauce on the ţable ended up in a glass of water, they all floated except the bbq sauce which sank. We figured it must just be an air pocket in the other sauces so we ripped the tops off the others but they still floated. So why does bbq sauce sink?
The other sauces included mayo, French mustard, tartar, brown

Were all the packets of the same dimensions and weight. Remember, back in High School the principle of floatation? Whether it's a battle ship or a packet barbecue sauce, that rule still applies.

Simple physics. If it's less dense than water, it floats in water. If it's more dense than water, it sinks.
