Should I drive to college?
I have been accepted to SDSU and have applied to UCSD, both in San Diego.
When I leave for college I will have to drive there from NJ. Is it a good idea? Don't really want to take a plane

Driving from NJ (I live in NJ) to San Diego, you need to calculate gas, food, road toll fees, hotel fees (if you are not sleeping in your car), etc. Buying a plane ticket would save you so much more money and time than driving there. Also, chances are...you WILL get lost at some point, even if you have GPS...you WILL get lost at some point. You might also end up driving through a VERY bad neighborhood (Even WORSE at night) and get your things stolen/robbed. Your car may also break down. There is a very high chance of these things happening. Also, driving that long of a trip gets VERY lonely, boring, painful (cramps), annoying and you may very well get a ticket at some point. These are top complaints of truckers. So NO you should not drive there...Also, imagine driving back home for the holidays....You won't even feel like dealing with it when the time comes..

If you don't want to fly and you are ok driving, then obviously for you it's "a good idea".
It's a pretty straightforward drive. Don't overly pack your car and take your time. Stop and see things. Make a Snapchat and Insta travel journal. Enjoy your time.
Good Luck
