what type of aquarium air pump should I get?

I'm acting on my childhood dream to get sea monkeys (brine shrimp hybrid) and was wondering if anyone can tell me what air pump I should get. I'm not trying to go all hardcore with it but I would prefer a pump that can be left on for extended time (not too noisy or expensive as I have other people around me who would complain both about the noise and the fact I'm spending money on shrimp :) I have looked into it a little bit and have seen things like air pump filters and filters and air pumps and air stones? so what can you recommend (preferably as small as possible to fit in either the container sea monkeys come in or a bigger jar. via hose or something) I have no idea so please dumb it down for me.

When I kept brine shrimp they seemed to do fine in a simple container without an air pump and filter. I think as long as the container you use has a large enough surface area, enough oxygen should be able to diffuse into the water. I put in quite a bit of small gravel to provide more space for beneficial bacteria to grow on - these convert the ammonia the shrimp produce into less harmful substances - and did water changes instead of using a filter. I would check about what temperature the tank needs to be kept at as you may need a heater for them to keep it stable in the right temperature range.
