  • what type of aquarium air pump should I get?

I'm acting on my childhood dream to get sea monkeys (brine shrimp hybrid) and was wondering if anyone can tell me what air pump I should get. I'm not trying to go all hardcore with it but I would prefer a pump that can be left on for extended time (not too noisy or expensive as I have other people around me who would complain both about the noise and the fact I'm spending money on shrimp :) I have looked into it a little bit and have seen things like air pump filters and filters and air pumps and air stones? so what can you recommend (preferably as small as possible to fit in either the container sea monkeys come in or a bigger jar. via hose or something) I have no idea so please dumb it down for me.

  • I want to decorate my draw set with acrylic paint?

I'm just in school and I want to add a bit of fun to my room before I have to live in it with VCE work. I have a draw set that has been crudely painted in a very glossy coat (I got the draws second hand as they are now) and I was wondering how some cheap acrylic poster paint will work on them, I would prefer to spend as little as possible and painting is my hobby so I'm not worried about having to get it off but how well will it stay on? should I sand paper the draws first or can I get away with just going over it now? and also, once I have finished my images should I paint a clear gloss/resin/varnish over the top to act as a seal?

    ~thanks

  • how can i make a skirt that goes under my dress to make it puffy?

I'm doing a TARDIS cosplay (from doctor who to wear to comic con) and I am making my own dress. how can I make a separate skirt that I can slip on under the dress to add a lot of volume?

i have had a look on the web and i have a few ideas of using tulle bunched together (either sewn with pleats or tied onto a waistband) but I'm not sure if that will get the look i want?

  • how long should I make my circle skirt?

I am sewing up my own highwaisted circle skirt at the moment and it sits just above my knee, according to my "golden" measurement I should have skirts that sit three inches above my knee but i m not sure if this measurement would apply to a circle skirt as they are quite swishy and deceiving about how long they are.
