How do I fix a dishwasher bent prong on the top rack of the dishwasher?
A prong in my dishwasher is not broken, but bent all the way over now. I don't know the correct term for them so I called them prongs, but they are the parts of the top rack in several rows of the newer kinds of dishwashers.

Bend it back, although if it is old and rusted and not made of current materials, it might break.
Source(s): A house we bought had an old dishwasher. About four prongs were ready to break off. I broke them off, used enamel repair, which didn't last and then I bought a new dishwasher.
