I got a Gopro Hero for Christmas, and i plugged it in using the USB cord, but it's been 12 hours and nothing has happened. Any advice?

First, it may not need charging. That's the first thing I would check if I was there. Press and hold the front button for a couple of seconds and you should see the screen come to life. If it does, look for the battery indicator. Looks like a battery. Mine is at the bottom of the screen. It is divided in thirds showing 1/3, 2/3 or 3/3 full charge. FYI, I get about 1 to 1.5 hours on a charge. I also have two batteries as sometimes I don't have time to recharge.

Next, are you using a plug in adaptor with the USB cord to charge and I am assuming that there is power there.

Are you using a lap-top or other PC to charge with. In some cases they must be turned on.

If you are charging, the front red light will blink until fully charge.

I have a lot of fun with my Go Pro. Hope you do also.
