Could I run a Minecraft Server with an AMD E1-2500?

Im looking to host a Vanilla server, the minecraft default, around 50 players max. Just wondering how well it would perform. I would have this, dedicated 8GB of ram, and a 120GB SSD.

As a test I have run a minecraft server on as little as an AMD C-50 2-core 1 GHz, 2 GB RAM, using Linux OS on a tablet PC and that worked fine, but I was the only one on it.

The AMD E1-2500 2-core 1.4 GHz is a weak CPU that in PassMark tests twice as fast as that. But not sure how many players it would support, which also depends upon the "upload" speed of your Internet service.

If you already have that computer it should be easy enough to set up the server, make sure that it works locally using its LAN IP, make sure port 25565 is open on http://www.canyouseeme.org/ , make sure it works from some other Internet connection using your public IP (from minecraft client NOT on your LAN, since many routers do not do loopback LAN2LAN via WAN IP). Then invite other minecraft users to test it.

Server/Requirement wiki suggests having 14 Mpbs "upload" speed for up to 9 players, 30 Mbps for 9+ players, and possibly 100-200 Mbps for 50+ players depending upon any mods or plugins.

Will you also be playing the game on it? If you also play the game on it, then not likely to be a server. If you just use it as a server, it should be easily able to serve that purpose. We used to run servers on far less powerful equipment in the olden days.
