Is it morally wrong to kiss someone who is going through a divorce?

I went on a great date last night with a man I saw outside that afternoon that I approached... I found out on the date that he is 4 months along in a divorce process.

I KNOW already (unless you guys REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY convince me) that I am going to end up waiting until everything is official and all the I s have been dotted, because I just can t handle the idea of looking back on my life and knowing I kissed someone who was technically "married". Just hate it.

He invited me to NYE and I ve never had a New Year s kiss (I m 25... Don t know how. Don t judge lol). I m incredibly physically attracted to him and realized he may be my first midnight peck! Until I remembered he s not freaking SINGLE yet!!! Lol.

Just curious if anyone has strong opinions like "DUH, everyone knows it s okay or everyone knows it s not okay!!!"

Sincerely,

Ms. Patient.

The thing is that he was probably told that until the divorce is final he should not get involved in any relationship. That is pretty standard advice from any divorce attorney. The reason is because if his wifes attorney should become aware of any relationship they will look to use that against him. He obviously doesn't have the best of judgement. why don't you ask him about that? Anyway, the fact that he has kissed you isn't really that terrible. But the question remains how do you know for sure that he isn't lying to you? He wouldn't be the first married man to do so. I think the only way to protect yourself from being hurt would be to tell him that he should call you when the divorce is final. If he really wants you bad enough he won't just disappear on you. If he does then it probably wasn't true or he found someone else. Either way, you'd be better off.
