Does iCloud automatically backup?
Does iCloud backup text messages, in my phone all my text messages magically DELETED I'm gonna get a new iPhone will my old text mssages still be there if I use my iCloud account

It normally backs up every night! I recently got a new phone and transferred everything over, few of my messages weren't there but other than that it was all good. I'm not sure if there's an option to stop daily backups but you should be fine

Unless you turned on the ability to actually back things up, they will NOT be backed up. So anything that you did not have backed up before it got deleted, will stay deleted.
