If you knew that the ONLY child you could ever have would be born with a mental disability, would you still have a child or never have one?

Never, I had mines embryotic fluid tested, if it had came back with any negative traits he would have been an abortion. No interest in a dull normal screwed up kid. I married a smart woman sure don't want anything less then smart kids.

No I would not. As well, agree with Mickey in this one..depends on that disability.

There is enough, pain and suffering in this world..I do not nor would not,in all sincerity,

want to be another, adding to it..

The baby may be something else..another calling..or Adoption as well,a better choice

in situations such, as you have described.~*

ditto on micky richards. not all mental disabilities are equal. some are merely inconvenient and some are actually disabling.

i'd go for it, but I've never wanted kids regardless of ability or disability

I'd have kids for the benefits. You could claim DLA and carer's allowance!

it depends on the disability. I have ADHD and if i knew my kid would have it I would still consider having them.

I would have fed the mother vitamins and minerals and she'd have a normal baby........that is all that is needed
