AR10 best way to "organize" iron sights with 50mm scope at the same time.?

Update:

I have XX-high mounts on now...so should I get an "offset" mount for the scope, or what would you call it? A side mount? DPMS Oracle rifle.

Scroll down a bit, first picture should be about right.

Unless your scope mount is a QD however, you're wasting your time.

You *could* use a set of canted iron sights, but those are generally only practical on lighter-weight rifles and are much more difficult to get used to.

There are all sorts of ways for you to do that. Quad rail or Key-mod handguard using a long eye-relief scope or red dot sight is the easiest for some that can mount a barrel nut properly. You are fortunate if you have one(key-mod or quad rail) already. There`s another way that an off-set mount can be mounted for a shorter eye-relief but not sure if I want to post that...it`s not for everybody.

My advice is to learn how to shoot it with iron sights Then put an optic on it. 7.62 can be expensive to shoot so take your time and learn to shoot it.If you aren't familiar with open sights practice trigger control with a .22 to save money on ammo. The shooting skills you learn on a smaller caliber carry over directly to shooting a bigger caliber.
