Birth control opinions.?

So I'm currently on the pill (Ocella to be exact) and I hate it. I'm terrible about remembering to take it on time, even with an alarm, its made me have the worst periods of my life, and screws with everything else about me too. I have an appointment soon to change birth control and I was thinking about the implant and the depo shot. IUDs are totally out because I'm not comfortable with that, but which would you recommend? What were your experiences with them?

The implant and Depo are both hormonal methods so will potentially cause the same issues as with the pill - Depo in particular has the higher risks out of all hormonal methods, you don't have a withdrawal bleed on Depo but it can commonly cause irregular bleeds - if you're determined to go with hormonal methods then implant over Depo.

I don’t like anyone to be on birth control pills. There are better options, the shot lasts 3 months, the rod under the skin lasts 3 years! Why would anyone go on a pill you have to take every single day?

Go back to your doctor, ask for something else.
