Do I need to provide documentation for a therapeutic pet if I say that my birds are therapeutic or conducive to my education?
I have a pair of Cockatiels and I am planning to return to college after a period of time. I can bring a pet if it is therapy for me to have them. But not sure if I have to have paperwork on them or not. They are rescue birds too.

Therapy animals are not animals you use for self.
They are trained animals that are taken to hospitals, schools, nursing homes to ease patients and students there.
What you are thinking about is a Emotional Support Animal.
And no you can not take these birds to school with you.
You do no qualify for a Service Dog or animal.

You can't take them
A therapy aniaml is only a PET and they are trained to help others, not their owners
All you have is ESA and they are PETS by law and can't be in dorms or any place that will not allow pets. There is no paper work that will allow you to have them at all in a place that doesn't allow them
