I'm trying to identify a very interesting 60's 70's electric guitar?

OK, during a New Year's Day celebration, one of my hosts brought out a very interesting old electric guitar. Kinda reminded me of a Danelectro copy from Japan. Bridge is wood, with thumbscrews to adjust the height. One pickup and a headstock design I've never seen before. It had nice action, but the wooden bridge threew me for a loop. I promised that I would ask all you experts if they have any idea of the make of this guitar.

you know I love finding out about this kinda stuff...

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys, and Happy New Year

Update:

click on my facebook link to see a couple of photos. I saw no inner stickers or anything else to identify this guitar. I'm pretty sure it's Japanese. It's driving me nuts! lol.... I've searched tons of images on google, haven't found anything really close.

Looks kind of like a Harmony, or just possibly it was a Kay, that passed through my hands once. Can't really make out the headstock shape due to the dark background though. The fretboard was the same width all the way down, making it very difficult to play. I'll check my records when I get home.

    Didn't take that long, just a quick Google... It's a Harmony Alden -. http://www.mainstreetvintageco.com/catalog/item/48...
