Was anyone really impressed with the new Star Wars movie?

So amazed. After TFA I didn't know that Disney could make a better Star Wars flim but it did. The story mached up perfectly. Directing was really good. I really liked Jinn and honestly before the movie came out I was kinda disappointed that they had another girl lead and thought that she was going to be annoying but everything about her fit in well. I cant see the role being played by a male.

Only thing that I felt needed a little help was the sound department. Also, where did the sences from the trailer go? And for the dvd release I would like to see a longer Darth Vader sence. Felt like they could have stretched it out longer.

But unlike TFA its story was something we have not seen in a Star Wars flim.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

The last 1/2 hr was an excellent lead up to "A New Hope"

It showed how Princess Leia acquired the plans to the Death Star.

I was impressed with the art direction and special effects. Not that impressed with the story or characters. It basically just tried to get from point A to point B without all that much emotional involvement. Yeah, sure, Ren reunites with her dying father, but that was an incidental plot point to give her a stronger motivation. Sort of like when Luke's foster parents are killed. The story was all pretty linear and one dimensional.

As someone who has featured as an extra in 3 of the Star Wars movies (you can see me in the second one at 1hr 2mins and 45secs) I would say the most recent film was the least impressive as of yet as I have had 14 years experience in the industry.

As a movie it wasn't bad. As it went with the original movies, it didn't follow the plot or story of Rouge Squadron

I was, I thought it was a little better than Episode VII. I liked that it looked a lot like the older movies and didn't have any overdone characters in it like the prequels did.

It was freaking awesome. Star Wars 7 was just a New Hope made my greedy film producers who were too lazy to come up with their own idea.

enjoyed it as a fan, but HATED the score-it ruined the moment....I'd give it a 7/10. I thought the girl who played Jyn did a fantastic job, don't get the hate.

i liked it up until we learned Ren wasn't a badass. our antagonist isn't anything like our old antagonist (Vader) so the conflict in the future films will be less interesting. other than that i really did like it
