Asus N550JK Screen Problem, Please help.?

I've had this laptop for nearly 2 years, but 2 months ago the screen started going black randomly.

I have to turn off the screen and put it back on by clicking fn+F8 to turn off the screen (like sleep mode) and then move the mouse or click any button to turn it back on.

This would happen once or twice a day, I thought it might of been the power settings reset them all but nothing changed, yesterday it got worse.

when I turn on the laptop it's all ok, I can login. but when I open an application, e.g. file explorer or google chrome the screen would turn off and when I put it back using the method I mentioned above it will come back for a sec or 2 and turn off again until I close the application and it would be ok again.

Please help.

I was told to take out all the power supply and battery and hold the power button for 2 min. but with this laptop I cannot remove the battery.
