Just to confirm: You can buy alcohol in Colorado with a temporary ID so long as it has a picture on it?

My 21st bday is in a couple weeks. My county now issues temp ID's with pictures.

    You need a "valid photo ID."

    I'd say your temporary ID will work fine since it has your photo.

    EDIT: To clarify... you cannot buy alcohol, even with a valid ID, before your 21st birthday. You still have to wait.

    Any retailer can decline to serve you. And there's nothing you can do about it. Remember that when the guy says "I think this is a fake".

    That's right. Any government issued photo ID is all you need to purchase alcohol in any US state.
