math stats problem?

Update:

You have sent out 3500 invitations to hear a speaker and you must rent chairs for the people who come. In the past usually about 12% of the people invited have come to hear the speaker

(a) What is the approximate probability that more that 13% of 3500 invited will show up? How many chairs would you have to rent if exactly 13% of those invited attended

    Approximate to normal distrbution with mean = 12% , standard deviation = sqrt(12(100-12)) = 32.5%

    Pr(x>13) = 0.4877 ~ 48.8%

    13%of 3500 = 455 chairs
