"Why do people not realize that the earth is flat?"

They never ask a question, they know everything they need to know, closed world assumption. I explained to them that I was a math guy and flat is a model so is round, but the round guys model predicts tides in new york city maximum height, minumum height, adn exact time of bottom or top. the flat earhter said "thats just a bunch of observations, by a flat earther for years and years." there is nothing in flat earthers head to ask a question, like "what is the pattern that predicts the next tide?"

Has anyone ever circumnavigated the globe going north to south? I don't know that's such a stupid question? does anybody have an answer?

No such thing as a stupid question, round earther. If the earth was round and spinning 1000 mph around the sun, how is that even possible? The ocean would devour the continents if that were true. Earth is obviously flat.
