If I go to the ER will they give me a prescription for an antidepressant?
My prescription ran out and I've been trying to find a therapist or a Dr to see because my dad and previous physician had an argument. But with no luck. They either can't see new patients for a long time or don't prescribe antidepressants. Idk what to do and I can't even find how to ease the withdrawal symptoms. I'm on the worst antidepressant to withdraw from. Paxil :c

They might give you enough for a week or so... then they are going to send you a bill for $2000 or more. Urgent care might and they are only going to charge you $600..... You CAN call the old doctor and ask for a refill. If he refuses because of a fight with your father then it's a loegal matter (father told him not to) or he's a really shitty person.
So today you could have called at least 100 doctor's... and found someone to see you.... why didn't you?

You should try your previous physician again. If you go to the ER complaining of depression, they may want to admit you to a psyche ward. If you don't mind being in prison for 3 days, then I guess that could be an option.

No..100% WILL NOT..
THE EMERGENCY DEPT IS NOT FOR PRESCRIBING DRUGS
It is for life threatening situations, they will refer you to your GP/Dr

I guess they might. But it might be better to first contact your old therapist and see if they'll okay a refill. If not, maybe contact your primary care physician's office and tell them your problem. If those don't get you what you need, then try the ER.
