Is the price of a UK passport going up in price to £300 in October 2017?
I have been told that the price has always been subsidised but that will stop in October 2017 and the price is hiking up to £300. Surely not??

No, that's bullsít. Whoever told you that is a moron or a liar.
UK passports cost between £46.00 and £95.25 depending on age, number of pages and check and send.
The only "subsidised" passports ,are the free ones for people born before 1929.
