How to ask about a letter of recommendation?

I asked my old professor for a letter of recommendation about 2 weeks ago, and he said he'd have it done in about a few days or a week (it's not actually due until March 1st). I'm going to his office hours for another reason tomorrow, and was wondering if I should ask about it. There's still time, I'm just concerned because he said he would finish a while ago and I'm nervous he possibly forgot. Should I ask about it? If so, do you have a recommendation on how to politely ask and not seem rushed?

Yes of course you should ask. Simply mention that you're concerned he might have forgotten and you wanted to remind him.
