Does drinking green tea really help you get better skin?
I have horrible pores on my face due to having acne when I was a teen. I complained about this to a friend and she told me to drink green tea. Said it would make my skin look better. True or false? Could this really help me? Are there other benefits to drinking green tea?

Green tea has many benefits for the skin, which is a bonus for those of us with problems.
Those benefits are; delaying ageing, sun damage, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. Green tea will also help with the complexion of your skin, reduce puffy eyes, and dark circles. It's great for acne prone skin, as it's a natural antibacterial agent that helps fight acne-causing bacteria. So it will clear up any acne you have.
It can be used as a toner, to minimise pores. Can be used to exfoliate for your face, and stimulate hair growth for your hair.
I think if you bring green tea into your life, cleansing routine, and hair routine you'll see a big difference. I haven't tried green tea myself, but I'd like to. I'm currently using tea-tree and witch hazel for fighting acne, that as helped a lot too so perhaps you could also use tea-tree and witch hazel.

green tea is good for many things, might help the skin might not. You could try castor oil on your skin to exfoliate the damaged skin faster and smooth the skin to some extent.

Tea is always good for you, if you know where they're from! Burger King's Green Tea, or Arizona Green tea, once I read somewhere, they were recalled (search for it). So there you go, you don't trust all teas, since all raw materials come from China, who knows what's in them!
There are many fruits & vegetables, that makes your have better skin, but for me?
I'm dedicated in exfoliating using a wash cloth & body wash each time I take a shower.
AVOIDING the sun & too much soaking in the tub or pool = skin's worst enemies, helps by 90%.

Drinking more water will, and green tea is mostly water and has less caffeine than other forms of tea leaf, so you'll be peeing out less water......but it's still not as hydrating and thus as good for your skin as just plain old water.
So your friend is sort of right, in that she'd be right if she told you to drink anything that's mostly water with little sugar or caffeine....but she'd have been most right if she just said "Drink more water."
