In short, no. If a card doesn't say it destroys, then it does not destroy.
When a card goes from the field to the graveyard, it is 'sent' there. So anything that just looks for or triggers from a 'send' will be able to activate if the other conditions are correct.
However there are different kinds of 'send', and they are not interchangable - destroy, banish, discard, tribute, detach. They all 'send' a card from one location to another, so a 'destroy' effect can trigger something looking to be 'sent'. But it means something that is tributed, or discarded, never counts as being destroyed.
