Christians, should I stay or leave this Bible group? Or was I really wrong, what do you think? (This question is only for Christians!)?

I am attending a Bible group, which is mainstream Lutheran, and the people there seem to be rather liberal compared to other Christians.

Today we had to share a situation that happened in the past days, when we talked "straight forward" to someone...

The other ones came up with stories when they stood up for themselves in their workplace or in their family, or things like that...

I told them that I have a "religious" Catholic friend, but although he is "religious", he sleeps around with many-many women. This guy told me that he doesn't see anything wrong with that, and I responded that he should measure his morals to God, and not to his life.

I thought that the Bible group members would say "good job, you should stand out for the word of God", or something like that... Instead they were shocked and asked why I was judging (?) my friend.

The only one who was on my side was the pastor, who is a women. But her main reason wasn't either the Bible, but rather that she is a feminist and she thinks objectifying women is wrong. (Actually I do agree with this part of feminism.)

I think you are right and the other people in the group are wrong. You should certainly think very hard about whether there is any value in you remaining a member of that group, and whether it will give you reliable insight into the Bible.

Perhaps some of the members would do well to study this passage from the Letter of St James:

"My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins." [James 5:19-20]

It's horrible that such a church goes under the name Lutheran. Luther would be turning in his grave if he knew what some churches teach in his name. Satan can't tolerate true Christian teaching and he tries to corrupt everything connected to the truth. He corrupted Catholicism through the Papacy and now Luther's good name is dragged through the gutter by those who falsely claim to be following in his footsteps.

You should definitely leave this church. It's better to remain outside of any organised church than be polluted by the false teaching that goes on. I don't belong to any church because they've all been infiltrated by false teachers who we should avoid (Romans 16:17).

The fact of the matter, Leave because the church age is over, BABYLON THE GREAT HAS FALLEN, that is all of the churches throughout the entire world, because God is separating the wheat from the tares, that is the good from the evil. and only the evil will stay in the churches. Read Revelation 17:5 read Revelation 18:4 read 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 read Matthew 24:15-16 read 1 Peter 4:17 read Amos 8:11

You are right, and you should bring to attention sinful behavior, and we should correct and encourage each other so we don't depart from the truth and holiness of God, for it is said:

"But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." Heb. 3

And also: " it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy" 1 Peter 1:16

And if they don't want to listen:

"But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people." 1 Cor. 5:11

If your friend isn't hurting anyone else, and it's just a question of piety (which is not the same as morality. Religious people often can't tell the difference), then perhaps they are thinking about when Jesus said not to judge others, mote and log and such (Matthew 7:1-5).

Your example wasn't you standing up for yourself. It was you being holier-than-thou.

Yes, you should leave it. You clearly belong in Westboro Baptist Church.
