Wow I'm surprised by the number of haters on here. It's admirable that you look beyond rejection and remain confident despite it. The fact is that when a person rejects another its often not as personal as one may think. Everyone has a list of criteria for people they associate with inside their minds and if a certain person they meet doesn't meet that criteria then they will end up rejected. For instance a girl from a poor family will want to marry an ambitious or rich man because she needs security. She will be turned off and reject unambitious men. It's not because she hates those men but the fact is they can't provide the security she desperately needs and craves.Sometimes though I myself do get hurt by rejection. It sucks when we like someone and they don't feel the same way. This can apply to someone we want as a friend or to someone we want romantically. I don't reject you as a way to try to hurt you.

I reject you because I want you to go away.

I try to do it in such a way that I DON'T hurt your feelings.

But if you don't get the message and keep on persisting, then I have to become harsh. By that point, I don't care if I hurt your feelings or not .. as long as you go away.

But it takes a certain amount of obtuseness and non-awareness, to keep on liking yourself if you are continually rejected by others.
