What should be Manchester United's priority for the rest of the season?
Assuming that Manchester United wins the EPL Cup today, they will do no worse than a place in the Europa Cup next year. They have two potential routes to move up to the Champions League. First, heading into this weekend's play, they are less than three points out of the top four in the Premier League. Second, they are still alive in the Europa Cup (and the winner of the Europa Cup gets a slot in next year's Champion's League). So should Manchester United rest players for domestic games in an effort to win the Europa Cup or rest players for the Europa Cup and try to move up into the top four of the Premier League?

Resting players for the Europa League would be a big mistake, Man United are not good enough to win that competition, you have to beat lots of quality teams through several stages of the tournament.
The PL has more beatable opposition for United, and Arsenal, City and Liverpool aren't great at all, so it's realistic that they could finish above all three if they continue their current form.

Man United will focus on a top 4 position in the Premier League; but they know by winning the Europa League they get an automatic birth to the Champions League next season. Plus UEFA gives a very nice purse to the Europa League winner. Don't forget Man United are still in the FA Cup.

Finishing top 4 should be United's priority. United are a big club and belong in the top 4. Plus the english side needs them in CL next season. Europa though should still be taken seriously as this still racks up points for English teams in Uefa standings. Also if they win Europa League it's a safety net to qualify for Champions League. FA cup should be last they should only play their best players at the end.

We need to concentrate on the Premier League and the Europa League now. I really hate to say this but I think we are better off with being knocked out of the FA Cup as we will have A LOT of games near the end of the season.
Obviously it would be great to win 2 more trophies AND finish in the top 4 this season.

The Europa League and finishing in the top 4 should be our main priorities. The FA Cup comes last out of the 3 competitions we are still in. The Europa League not only generates us a lot of money the further we advance in the competition, but if we actually win it, we will automatically have Champions League football next season. Winning the Europa League would also lift our prestige in Europe(of course not as much as the Champions League would, but still). Finishing in the top 4 in the EPL should also be another priority for obvious reasons, Champions League football is the Holy Grail for all big clubs. The FA Cup is the least important of the 3, even though winning it would still be a great achievement. Who knows, the truth is that we have the ability to achieve all 3 remaining objectives. Whether we achieve them is another matter.

"Assuming"...good word...p
anyway it's obvious "no brainer" top 4... that can be their only priority

they have a good record in domestic games so that would probably be the better option
