There may be an end of the world, but I don't think it will happen quickly. Even if a huge comet hits, it would be like a nuclear bomb going off. The sky would darken, the crops would die, the infrastructure may fall apart. There are many survivalist nuts who can give you a hundred reasons why they're building a fortress in the woods with machine gun turrets, but then who are you going to listen to?

When Jesus comes again, He will destroy the physical realm and then the Judgment. So all will be in the spiritual realm, including us.
