What do you truly think of the trend for restaurants to have TVs all over the walls?

Personally, I'm somewhat offended by this. I go out to eat to get away from the world for a little bit and prefer a pleasant atmosphere. I'm not thinking about a sports bar here where TVs are part of the experience, that is different.

Studies have shown we don't communicate and our attention span is only about 10 minutes WITH people who grew up watching TV, because TV goes to commercials every 10 minutes. So by putting TV. usually a sporting event, people have a tendency to return because it is in their comfort zone (TV)

You have to go to up scaled 5 star restaurants to really enjoy yourself. It's expensive, but it's worth it.
