Most essential oils are totally inappropriate for cats - many are toxic. The kitten needs to go to the vet, both to be treated for the cat flu (it often comes with secondary bacterial infections that need antibiotics) and now to be treated for the chemical burn you caused. These types of things can get infected very easily. You really should call the vet NOW and ask how toxic oregano oil is when applied topically - it is considered toxic when ingested. Self-treating often causes more problems than it solves.

Take it to a vet before you injure it further or kill it by performing do-it-yourself veterinary medicine.

Well, you see, the oregano oil has a very strange effect on most cats, to start it will usually burn their skin causing them immense pain. After that they can start to hallucinate very vividly, and will usually end up attacking walls. My suggestion is to rush your cat to the vet as soon as you can, otherwise he may end up accidentally killing you. I wish you all the luck.
