Why don't husbands respect their wives? And men respect women? Why are Christian men, not really following the commands?

Ephesians 5:22 - 24:

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Corinthians 14:34-35.

34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says.

35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

1Ti 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Maybe because:

"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands."

"Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord."

"I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet."

The most direct way to say it:  Men that abuse women are in a major sin, not yet repenting.  Even just 'disrespect' is sin, breaking the 'golden rule' -- "So in everything, do to others as you would have them do to you, for this sums up the law...."

They must repent, turn, stop that sin, if they will follow Christ.

But you, the offended, the victim, you must forgive, if you would follow Christ.

You can pray for them.  You can ask others to pray for them also, so several are praying.

If you need help to forgive, you can pray for that help.
