Help me calculate the VOLUME of a pipe, or tell me if i'm doing it correctly, please.?
A 36 inch pipe that is 1 mile long = _____________ in cubic feet?
I'm taking my CA water distribution grade 2 test in 10 days and i'm going over my studies again but i need to know about this because i may need it because it can be a factor on one of the math problems.
if the pipe is 36" and its 1 mile long the way to figure volume would be
.785x3ftx3ftx5,280ft(1 mile in ft) which would give me 37,303ft^3 is that the correct formula for this? .785xd^2xlength?

you have too many significant digits in your answer. since you only calculated pi/4 to three digits, your answer is limited to three digits. 37300 cubic feet.
btw, i'm not an engineer and i assume the pipe's 36 inches is inside diameter, correct?
