What do you think of this poem?
I gave it to a user as a gift for her boyfriend.
I've done all that I could do
to give my heart and soul to you.
I've soldiered treks of love and pain
all for your attention's gain.
The adoration like a great bon fire
curls about my one desire
this my one and only chance
to which our souls may take this dance
and leave behind all darkened fears
and cap the cup that held our tears.
Hear my words I speak, they're true.
Yes, I am in love with you.

To be honest and I'm not being cheeky 'I wouldn't give that poem to any of my boy friends...
Just saying the truth ' ''I know your going to kick off because you cant stand any criticism ..
But to be honest I don't give a ''FL U *ck '' anymore on here .

It rhymes and flows good.
It is simple and straight to the point.
Even though its all been said before I liked it.

It is your voice and your art, and forget anyone who says it isn't worthy of being called poetry!! I like it. Though indeed, "like" is subjective. and I can't say I completely understand it, but it has feeling and it moves! I have read decades worth of Literature and poetry: many Classics like, Browning, Byron, Frost, Shelley, etc., and many of them had their critics too. But college poetry& Lit still talks about them..... So, don't be discouraged if you don't always get an audience who likes what you present.
