Can I get the total rated watts out of my generator from just one of the outlets?

Generator is used on food truck and there is only one power attachment to the truck. When I am at full power( all appliances on) the generator pops its breaker. The breakers on the truck seem to handle the load. Is the total rated wattage on the generator the total from all outlets? There are 6 of them. How can I spread this out and get it to the trucks breaker box?

You are tripping the generator's breaked because you are drawing more amps then the generator can deliver.

If you have, let's say. a total of 5 breakers at 20 amps each, you are rated at 100 amps. Now that may not be the actual load but breaker capacity.

If you are tripping a 20 amp breaker on the generator then you are pulling more amps then the generator can handle. No mater how may outlets you put on the generator, you maximum amps is still only be a total of 20 amps.

It sounds to me that you need a bigger generator. Higher output. The generator's breaker is there to protect it from overloading it and burning it out.

Without knowing your actual amp draw, I can not figure the correct size of generator needed. Not what the breaker panel says.

If your generator HAS outlets, it isn't the proper unit to power a food truck. The generator you NEED would wire directly to the truck.
