Killing cat fleas on carpets etc.?

If I sprinkle table salt on carpets , will it kill fleas lurking in the carpet , and not be harmfull for my cat . I treat my cat with Fibrospot every 4 weeks and brush her daily ( my cat spends a lot of time outdoors so is high risk , unfortunately she has an allergy to flea bites . any other suggestions will be welcome . Note --- I live in the UK so some products available in the US are not available here . Ok thanks .

It won't do anything for the fleas and will damage your carpet.

Talk with your vet about what product you should use.

If the cat is allowed outside with the fleas, and the house is not kept flea-free by frequent cleaning and vacuuming, the fleas will continue. Consult your veterinarian for cat treatment products.

Putting salt on your carpets will ruin the carpet.

It will cut the fibers of the carpet as you walk on it and then before you know it your carpet will be bald.

Keep the fleas off of the cat with collars or or other treatments and they will eventually die in the house as well.

Also, keep the cat in side.
