Would you leave your job?

I work in an office, I love my job, however, it's an open plan office. This means I can hear everyone. I find it really hard to concentrate on my job when everyone is on the phones talking. Not only that but one person in particular always talks extremely loud, and their voice actually grates on me. When they laugh/cackle it makes my skin crawl like finger nails down a chalkboard.

The rest of the team are extremely loud but not as annoying.

Because of this I find myself on edge, anxious and slightly angry, whilst also feeling a bit depressed. As soon as I leave the place I am fine. I don't want to leave because I love my job, but being around that one person is soul destroying. What would you do?

Update:

Been in this job around 2yrs, its always been bad but i could cope... now... i cant

If you were working there I would after what happened last time. Remember that time I caught you with your finger up your *** in the storeroom?

Yes I would..I quit many jobs because I'm not going to suffer all my life.

Find the same job with closed office space.

Imagine being stuck there forever, that's why its better to leave now

    unless you can't.

Everyone working there has the same situation. Learning to cope with it is part of being professional. Any place you work will have some sort of problem with the other employees. Learn to deal with it, and you will be more successful in your working life.

Get ear plugs, ear muffs, etc,,, to block the noise, or sound proof your area, or see if you can move farther away from the noise

I dislike open work layouts enough that I've passed on job offers from places that use them but, I'm able to physically cope with them. Ordinarily, I'd encourage you to quit but, in your case, you should remain outside your comfort zone until you can be there without risking mental collapse.
