If a gynecologist is for females, what do you call the doctor for males?

Gynecologist is also for girls, not just women. Basically, a gynecologist is a doctor who is a specialist in problems which relate to the female reproductive organs, like endometriosis, PMS and menstrual pain, because gynecology literally means, 'the science of women'.

The male equivalent is either a urologist (specialist in treating problems with the urinary system - such as urinary incontinence - and the testicles in males), or an andrologist (a doctor who specializes in treating problems with the male reproductive organs, like erectile dysfunction, testicular torsion and male infertility).

    Hope this helps.

There's not a direct corresponding profession. Gynecologists focus on the female *reproductive* system, not just the female body as a whole. A urologist handles the male reproductive system but they also work with the urinary system of both sexes.

Important point, a gynecologist isn't for females, its for vaginas. Yes, thats a picky point, but technically their speciality is vaginas, not women.

The closest equivelant would be a Urologistwho focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary tract system and the male reproductive organs.

Urology covers the male reproductive organs.
