Why do I have terrible balance in my dreams?
Last night I was dreaming that I was at a grocery store but for some reason my balance was garbage and I would fall over numerously, knocking things over in the process. I would also get dizzy a lot and I think I even passed out at one point. This doesn't happen in ALL my dreams, but it's very common. This has never happened to me in real life and I don't have any neurological disorders that cause loss of balance or anything like that. I don't drink alcohol or get high in real life or in my dreams so I'm positive I was not drunk or high in these situations. Is this normal?

2 AnswersOther - Computers4 years agoIs it realistic for an American high school junior to be on a swim team and in theatre in the same year?
Maybe if swim teams practice in the mornings and theatre does rehearsals after school to clear up schedule overlaps? I've never taken any extracurricular activities in high school so I don't know if this is something a typical teen can handle.
1 AnswerPrimary & Secondary Education4 years agoWhat's the meaning behind that Polynesian gesture where two people touch foreheads?
I know it's a common cultural thing in Hawaii and New Zealand (I think it's called a "ha" in Hawaii and "hongi" in New Zealand) but I never quite got the meaning. Is it something to do with spiritual stuff or is it just a simple way of greeting someone like a handshake? I think it looks nice so I'd like to learn more about it. Also, are Hawaii and New Zealand the only Polynesian countries this is done in or is it a thing in other countries like Samoa and Fiji? Thank you in advance for your help!

9 AnswersGeography4 years agoCan an 18-year-old who is turning 19 soon date someone who just turned 17?
One of my friends has been 18 years old for the past 10 months and she has a crush on someone who just turned 17 years old about two months ago and she feels like that makes her a creep so I want to help her get some clarification on if it s okay or not. Since I m the same age as her down to the month, I can t really be sure either. I know it s okay if the age difference is just a year but this is a year and eight months so it s almost 2 years and the whole age group of 18 and 19 is just confusing in general since they re both teen AND adult years. Thanks!
2 AnswersSingles & Dating4 years agoI have social anxiety but I love going out in public, is there a psychological reason for this?
So as the question says, I have social anxiety. I hate interacting and speaking with most strangers and I always feel extremely nervous while doing so and I usually do everything I can to get out of doing so. But at the same time, I love going out to public places like grocery stores or local festivals and just roaming around, and I prefer eating at restaurants over visiting the drive-thru. I'm not sure why this is, it seems pretty ironic. Is there a psychological reason for this?
4 AnswersPsychology4 years agoBesides feeling discomfort, what would happen if your eyeballs completely dried up? Would you go blind?
Sometimes I like to keep my eyes open for as long as I can to see how long I can go without blinking, but my eyeballs hurt from drying up as they would for anyone. Besides that discomfort, what would happen if I allow my eyeballs to completely dry up?
Optical4 years agoWhy does hypothermia kill us?
I can understand hyperthermia since we sweat out a bunch of water and the dehydration caused by heat causes us to dry up and go into shock, but what about the cold? What does that do to our bodies that kills us?
Does our blood literally freeze and clog our arteries? Does the constriction of blood vessels triggered by low temperatures lower our oxygen intake? Why do we need heat to live, what exactly does it do for us?
2 AnswersBiology4 years agoDo male animals have a concept of fatherhood like people do?
When I go on the internet and see photos and videos of domestic cats nurturing their young and just generally raising their kittens, it's usually the mother doing all of that, but I've never seen any where the father is doing anything. When two domestic cats have a litter of kittens together, does the father register those kittens as his and take part in raising them like or do they not get involved because they didn't feel as much of a connection from not being the pregnant one?
Basically, if a male cat impregnates a female and the kittens come out, is the male like "oh hey I helped make those so I'll raise them too" or is he like "I don't know how this pregnancy happened so I'll just mind my own business"? This is assuming the mother and father live together and have a close relationship, I'm not talking about strays just hitting it and quitting it.
I heard that in Ancient Greece some people had not yet known that pregnancy was the result of sex and believed it just came out of nowhere and I know that animals obviously don't get sex education so I'm not sure if animal fathers actually register their offspring as theirs since they're not the pregnant ones.
Cats4 years agoWould a dentist allow me to stay at the office after wisdom tooth extraction until I'm no longer high?
So I tend to have really inappropriate conversations with my friends online, and if I'm going to say anything stupid while high, I REALLY don't want my family to be around to hear it. If I go to a dentist's office alone and say I don't know anybody but myself to take me home, would they let me stay over until I'm not high anymore or at least call a taxi for me after the procedure? Or would they refuse to perform the procedure on me unless I have somebody to take me home? I have serious anxiety and I would probably die of cardiac arrest if I find out I said anything really dumb. I'm an adult and I live in the US (Florida), if that's relevant. Thanks!
