Would a dentist allow me to stay at the office after wisdom tooth extraction until I'm no longer high?

So I tend to have really inappropriate conversations with my friends online, and if I'm going to say anything stupid while high, I REALLY don't want my family to be around to hear it. If I go to a dentist's office alone and say I don't know anybody but myself to take me home, would they let me stay over until I'm not high anymore or at least call a taxi for me after the procedure? Or would they refuse to perform the procedure on me unless I have somebody to take me home? I have serious anxiety and I would probably die of cardiac arrest if I find out I said anything really dumb. I'm an adult and I live in the US (Florida), if that's relevant. Thanks!

Update:

I'm only 18 and I've never gotten a wisdom tooth extraction before, or really any major procedure that requires anesthesia. But I've seen many videos online of people acting stupid from being so high from wisdom tooth extraction so I'm really worried.

If they knock you out enough to be high, they won't allow you to be released alone. If they use local, then you won't be high. You aren't going to feel like chatting an awful lot for a while after the procedure anyways.

They would probably call a cab for you, but you will have to pay for it. Also, FYI, you are not usually given so much anesthesia that you stay "high" very long. The issue with you not being able to drive is that the effects of the anesthesia may effect your ability to drive. Also, ask your dentist for accurate information, BUT a very small percentage of people actually say stupid things after having a tooth pulled.

They might very well refuse to do the procedure unless you have someone to accompany you home.

And here's the deal with the videos. I think many of them are fake. One person had a slight reaction, so other people thought, "Hey, I'll act stupid, have my friends film it, and everybody will get a huge laugh".

I worked across the hall from an oral surgeon and NEVER saw anyone leave the office like the people in those videos.

if you have the teeth removed in oral surgery in a hospital setting:

the dentist will use general anesthesia.

you will be required to have someone to take you home, because you won't be safe to drive.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

if you have a tooth extraction in the dentist's office:

the dentist will only use local anesthesia, not general -- so you will be fine to drive yourself home.

even if he uses nitrous oxide to sedate you during the process, that won't be a problem, because the effects disappear within a couple of minutes after the gas is removed.

they will let you stay until the effects of whatever drug they gave you wears off. at least most dentist offices will.
