Science Fair?
So I have to participate in the 8th grade science fair. I have no idea for a project. I think it needs a hypothesis. I don't have time to grow plants or anything like that. I was thinking about making geodes, but what hypothesis could I get from that? I want to do something easy/short but not boring and difficult.

It doesn't matter what you do or whether or not you're right. For these projects they simply want you to make a hypothesis (guess the results) and test them. Want an easy one?
When I was in 8th grade my project was on whether or not temperature had an effect on evaporation. I literally filled 3-4 glasses of water and let them sit for a few days, measuring the water level each day and recording the results. Of course temperature wasn't a factor, so I concluded that the small differences between the evaporation levels likely were caused by some glasses being close to wind/breeze (think vents/windows) and you can always blame the cat for drinking from it to be funny too.
