Help..work issues?
So on saturday i showed up for my normal shift at work and one of the managers sent me home the moment i walked in stating i didnt work..so i left and today i showed up for work and the same manager told me to see our head manager that there was an "issue"
Apparently our head manager accused me of skipping my shift on saturday and when i explained to her what happened on saturday and why i didnt show up she said its still my fault and she put me on a 2 week suspension..so im missing 38 hours of work because of what happened on saturday and yet they still want me to come in on those shifts dressed and ready to go INCASE my shift isnt filled..so not only are they not giving me my normal 38 hours but they expect me to show up incase i do get 2 or 3 hours in..do you think this is okay?

Yes, because you don't seem to sure of anything. First, you said you went in and then were sent home. And then you said that you didn't show up and you were explaining why you didn't show up. You either showed up or you didn't.

Look for another job. They are doing nothing illegal. Personally, I wouldn't show up, period.

Chances are it is legal, considering that most states are at will (49 out of 50,) workers have few to no rights. Only state that I know of that does what you say is California.
